Fees

Scouting and consequently Troop 103 is a volunteer organization. We practice fiscal responsibility. We strive to place the smallest financial impact possible on our families. Our goal is to have the same balance in the troop account at the end of the year as at the beginning of the year.

Membership

Currently our annual scout dues are $130 and covers the majority of the troops expenses for a year. Adult Leader annual dues are $30. Typically we do not have a need to participate in fund raising events. Annual fees are primarily used for re-chartering, rank advancement and merit badges, one class B shirt, one troop neckerchief, camping non-food supplies and Court Of Honor Dinner for our families. Part of the dues goes to The Friends of Scouting Program which helps fund our San Gabriel Valley District.

Outdoor, Special Events and Summer Camp

Adult leadership is voluntary and non-paid. Any Troop encumbered cost associated with an event are equally distributed to the attendees of that event.

Merit Badges

Merit badges taught within the troop are lead by non-paid volunteers. Any Troop encumbered cost associated with a merit badge class are equally distributed to the attendees of that class.

Most Merit Badges taught within the troop have no cost.

Scout Cost

Scouts are responsible for their full class A uniforms, annual dues, merit badge books as needed, and their scout book.
